Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver

Reliable and motivated candidates are required for multiple full-time, permanent day and night shift positions within a busy warehouse, logistics and distribution environment, supporting the safe movement, storage, picking, packing and dispatch of customer goods.

WORKING HOURS: Days Shift (8am – 6pm and 9am – 7pm) and Night Shift (10pm – 8am) Available

JOB OVERVIEW

This is a great opportunity for dependable candidates to join the company as a Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver, working as part of a team that helps keep goods moving efficiently.

Working as the Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver, you will support loading, unloading, stock movement, storage, order preparation and dispatch while following health and safety procedures at all times.

As the Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver, you will use warehouse systems and handheld scanners, maintain accurate stock records and help ensure operational targets are achieved across day or night shift operations.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver include:

• Forklift Truck Operation: Operate Counterbalance and/or Reach Forklift Trucks safely and efficiently

• Loading and Unloading: Load and unload vehicles in line with operational requirements

• Order Picking and Packing: Pick, pack and prepare customer orders accurately using handheld scanners and warehouse systems

• Stock Movement: Move goods throughout the warehouse and maintain organised storage locations

• Stock Checks: Carry out stock checks and support accurate inventory control

• Equipment Checks: Complete daily equipment checks and report defects or maintenance requirements

• Health and Safety: Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies

• Warehouse Support: Assist with general warehouse duties and work as part of a team to achieve operational targets

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Valid Forklift Truck / FLT Licence

• Counterbalance and/or Reach Truck experience

• Previous experience working in a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment

• Experience using RF scanners and warehouse management systems

• Good understanding of stock control and warehouse processes

• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to health and safety

• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently

• Flexible and able to undertake manual handling and lifting duties

• Experience loading and unloading trailers would be desirable

• Previous experience working day or night shifts would be desirable

• Knowledge of inventory management systems or additional MHE licences would be advantageous
