Job Description:

Forklift Operator

A Counterbalance and Reach Forklift Operator is required for my client a global market leader of sustainable distribution solutions based in Greenwich.

The forklift role is to contribute to the safe operational efficiency and effectiveness of the depot, duties will include:

• Undertake picking and loading duties as required　
• Undertake manual handling yard duties as required　
• Undertake Fork Lift Operations as required both Counterbalance and Reach
• Receipt of bulk and packaged chemical deliveries
• Receive deliveries of supplies and ensure safe handling and storage to laid down operational procedures　
• Load vehicles of supplies and ensure safe handling and despatch to laid down operational procedures　
• Undertake the filling of chemical containers to laid down procedures　
• Contribute to the safe handling and storage of chemical products to ensure compliance with legislation and operational requirements　
• Pick and build loads to meet customer orders, both by manual handling and by mechanical aids provided　
• Contribute to the safe and efficient running of the yard and warehouses　

Shift times are rotating weekly between 6am - 2:45pm and 12 - 8:45. Monday to Friday ONLY. No weekends.

£35,000 PA

Qualifications Required To Apply

Forklift (Counterbalance / Reach) NO inhouse licence must be your own, Previous Warehouse experience

Desirable

Manual Handling, Chemical transfer and unloading experience.

Experience & Knowledge chemical industry
