Job Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for a  Fire Alarm & Security Engineer based in Bedford for one of our clients on a Full time permanent basis. 

Summary of the Fire Alarm & Security Engineer role 

Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 
Location: Field based 
Type of Contract: Permanent  
Hours: Monday – Friday 8am-4pm  

Responsibilities of the Fire Alarm & Security Engineer

• Perform scheduled and reactive maintenance on fire alarm systems, access control, CCTV and emergency lighting services
• Identify, diagnose and rectify faults efficiently 
• Complete small works and remedials where required
• Accurately complete service reports, certificates and compliance documentation using digital/mobile platforms
• Consistently uphold high standards of workmanship, compliance and health & safety
• Communicate professionally with customers and site contacts
• Manage stock/van parts
• Maintain clear communication with the office, providing detailed job notes and technical feedback

Requirements for a successful Fire Alarm & Security Engineer

•  Field-based engineering experience within the fire and/or security sector
• Technical knowledge of fire alarms,  access control, CCTV and emergency lighting
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritise workload effectively
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Full UK driving license
