OA are recruiting for a Warehouse Manager to join our client’s growing importer and distributor of fresh, frozen and dry food products.
The Warehouse Manager will have overall responsibility for the smooth, safe and efficient running of the warehouse operation, managing the warehouse team and drivers. This role requires someone with a hands-on approach, strong leadership skills and the confidence to take ownership, introduce improvements and drive performance across the operation.
Location: Tottenham, London
Hours: Monday-Friday. 7:00am-5:00pm.
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000

Warehouse Manager Key Responsibilities
• Take full ownership of the day-to-day warehouse operation, ensuring it runs smoothly, safely and efficiently.
• Lead, manage and develop the warehouse team and drivers.
• Set clear expectations, priorities and standards across the department.
• Ensure goods are received, stored, picked and dispatched accurately and on time.
• Maintain excellent stock control, stock rotation and warehouse housekeeping.
• Ensure high standards of health and safety and operational compliance.
• Monitor performance and identify ways to improve efficiency, accuracy and productivity.
• Plan labour and resources around daily workloads, seasonal demand and business growth.
• Identify operational issues and take ownership of finding and implementing effective solutions.
• Work closely with Purchasing, Sales, Customer Service and senior management.
• Maintain warehouse procedures, documentation and compliance.
• Support recruitment, training, performance management and development of the team.
• Create a well-organised, disciplined and productive warehouse environment.
• Remain hands-on and get involved in the operation when required.
Warehouse Manager Skills and Experience
• Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a senior warehouse leadership position.
• At least 3 years’ experience managing warehouse teams.
• Strong knowledge of goods-in, stock control, picking, dispatch and general warehouse operations.
• Experience improving processes, efficiency and team performance.
• Strong people-management skills, with the confidence to set expectations and address performance issues.
• A proactive approach and the ability to make decisions without needing constant direction.
• Excellent organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively across different departments.
• A practical, hands-on approach.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change.
• Experience within the food, fresh, frozen or FMCG sector would be advantageous.
